Get a Big!

Arm your child with another awesome adult to provide support, encouragement, and friendship. Life is hard - we all experience ups and downs, and we know the more people you have in your corner, the better. We’d love the opportunity to provide your child with another positive adult role model to help them ignite their own potential.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Licking and Perry Counties serve children and teens who want a mentor in their lives. We match Littles, aged 6-14, with Bigs in a one-to-one, life-changing friendship. Bigs and Littles hang out for a minimum of four hours each month doing typical, everyday activities, like going to see a movie, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out!

School-based mentor program. It may sound obvious, but the best place to help a child realize their potential is at school. Kids enjoy having their Bigs meet with them there, whether it’s, in the classroom, lunch or on the playground. And parents know what a positive impact it makes. Bigs and littles get together on their own to talk and share fun activities they both enjoy. Matches typically meet for 45 mins to an hour once a week.

Community Based mentor program. This is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where Bigs and Littles get together and go out into the community to do fun activities they both enjoy. We ask for a minimum of two monthly visits, which work around your schedule and the Littles.
